Enviromental Performance Index
Mendoza has a Mediterranean-style warm and dry climate, with a low humidity level, an exceptional heliophany which offers more than 300 sunny days per year, a low rainfall of about 180 mm/year, and a marked daily and seasonal thermal fluctuation. The irrigation water comes down from the high mountain glaciers, and it is distributed by means of a sophisticated irrigation system.
This allows the development of an agriculture of high quality, free of plagues, and with a minimum or no requirement of chemical products.

Organic cultivation can be developed extensively and at a very low cost.
In Mendoza, it is still possible to acquire large extensions of land at low costs, without restrictions for foreign proprietors.
