In Mendoza the Tourism and Trade sector has grown 210% since 2002

In Mendoza, Napa Valley Meets the Wild West”

Why go to the Napa Valley when you can fly to Mendoza, in western Argentina, drink more exotic and affordable wines, and go horseback riding across the magnificent Andes Mountains with sexy Latin meat eaters? (…)After a few days of pure gluttony, you’ll want to explore the sun-kissed Andes (…) Local farms offer one-, two- and even five-day rides across the valleys and foothills, so you can gallop all the way to Chile. Try doing that in Napa.

The growth of the sector has attracted international investments. Today, there exists a 5-star hotel of international level, and 3 more are being built.

There are more than 135 hotels, 30 hostels, 22 boutique hotels and 40 hostelries which complete the accommodation offer.

Las Leñas Resort is one of the most important ski areas of the South Hemisphere, with 40 ski runs –which totalize 60 km- and accommodation for 4,000 people.

In the last years Mendoza, in its capacity as a Great Wine Capital, has developed various wine routes which have received more than 1 million visitors in 2006.

At the same time, the Mendocinean Andes Range, with the highest peak of the American continent –Mount Aconcagua, of almost 7.000 m of height-, is an excellent place for practicing adventure tourism, with a varied offer of activities such as mountaineering, rafting, rappel, excursions, horseback riding, mountain biking, motocross, hang-gliding, paragliding.
