This year 2007 we have become 50 years old, and it is a period of time in which we have achieved a sustained growth in the production, packaging and industrialization of cherries. We have found in Mendoza the necessary micro-climate for the obtainment of the best productions, particularly in the regions of Uco Valley, Vistalba, Maipú and Las Heras. We are present in the most demanding markets in the world, with a high level of competitiveness and quality of our products. |

We produce important quantities of cherries, peaches and plums. Our cherry production was born in the 30’s, when our father started with the first crops in Tupungato, in partnership with an English grower. In the 50’s, we moved to Tunuyán with our own plantations in the locality of Vista Flores. We have found in Mendoza the necessary micro-climate for the obtainment of the best productions, particularly in the regions of Uco Valley, Vistalba, Maipú and Las Heras. With all this, we have been able to enlarge the harvest period, starting by the end of October and finishing by the end of December. Apart from this, we have incorporated the best packaging and preservation technology, which has led to better fruit exports for fresh consumption, reaching markets in almost all of Europe, Canada, some Asian countries among which Hong Kong and China outstand, and others from Latin America such as Brazil. It is also worth highlighting the importance of what we produce in cherries for industry, as we have varied elaboration forms and methods. We make glazed maraschino-flavored cherries, natural cherries, and halved, colored and drained cherries for ice cream shops. We can finally state that we have remained in this fruit growing industry for a long time, with very good results for our family business.

Almost 80% of Mendoza’s territory is suitable for cattle breeding. This activity does not overlap with agriculture due to the lack of rainfall. At present, a profitable breeding can be carried out and, as long as the infrastructure of the fields improves, its receptivity will increase and the business will be more advantageous. See more
