Perhaps the three facts which most contribute when trying to understand the true commitment of Wal-Mart with the community of Mendoza are the sustainability of its investments, the concern for the environment, and the permanent vocation of working for a better quality of life. |

Mendoza is one of the provinces which has accompanied the process of economic recovery which the country is going through. The wealth of its human resources, its growing industrial development, the authorities’ enthusiastic vocation of progress, and the Mendocinean people’s impulse, all constitute real factors of Wal-Mart’s investment in the Province. These factors are the ones which have led us to open, in the Department of Las Heras, the second Super Center in the Province, adding up to the existing one in the Department of Guaymallén, and showing our commitment with the Mendocinean people. Perhaps the three facts which most contribute when trying to understand the true commitment of Wal-Mart with the community of Mendoza are the sustainability of its investments, the concern for the environment, and the permanent vocation of working for a better quality of life.

Mendoza has a strategic location considering the Chile-Argentina-Brazil passage. Mendoza is a logistic center of great importance as it has the necessary infrastructure to manage freight by railway as well as by land roads.
